What are supposed to be learning about in Algebra? Simply put, Algebra in high school is about finding the unknown in a problem. You will be taught how to find this algebraically and graphically. Algebraically refers to plugging in numbers and using math equations. Graphically refers to putting in values of x and y and using a graph to solve. You have probably been doing simple Algebra for years, but now it gets more complicated. The class usually starts out with a reminder....if x=3 what is x+2.. In order to really understand high school Algebra, you must have mastered addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, decimals, as well as the rules of how and when to use these.
